The high courts in Pretoria and Johannesburg have been equipped with wi-fi facilities, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide says.

"Increasing productivity in the High Courts around South Africa... form part of the second round of implementation of the wi-fi facility," it said in a statement.

The facility was installed in the Cape High Court in August last year.

"The Johannesburg and Pretoria High Courts have long seen the need to assist in developing the legal industry as a whole, and in this case through online connectivity."

Wi-fi is Technology which allows an electronic device to exchange data wirelessly over a computer network.

Ogilvy issued the statement on behalf of Law Credit and LexisNexis SA, a provider of content and technology solutions.
