A new music distribution service is set to launch, allowing music lovers to access new music for free without leaving artists without an income.

How the service works is that Songrab.com tries to partner an artist with a brand.

That brand puts in a fund for the songs it is partnered with, which then pays out every time the song is downloaded until there isn't any money left.

To access the song, the person who wants to download it needs to perform a social action, like making a request on Twitter or putting up a Facebook post. The song is then made available to that user.

Songrab.com does no take any money from the users or artists to perform this service, acting purely as a facilitator between the brand in question, the artist and the end user.

On signing up, artists are required to state that they have the right to distribute whatever music they have submitted.

As Songrab.com believes in the honesty of its users, there is no digital rights management system on the files, they are simply MP3s to be used as the user sees fit.

Songrab.com will be launching soon.
