The Kruger National Park has announced that it will be introducing gate quotas over the Christmas holidays.

The gate quotas are as follows:

  • Giriyondo Gate – 275
  • Pafuri Gate  – 385
  • Punda Gate – 385
  • Open Gate – 550
  • Phalaborwa Gate - 550
  • Phabeni Gate – 550
  • Malelane Gate – 550
  • Crocodile Bridge Gate – 385
  • Numbi Gate – 550
  •  Kruger Gate – 750

Day visitors are advised to book, because once the quota is reached those who haven't booked won't be let in. There will be a R28 per adult non-refundable deposit charged.

An advanced booking won't exempt visitors from paying a conservation charge at the gate. The quota limit won't affect people actually staying in the park overnight.
