A Channel 4 documentary has revealed that Napoleon's penis was about 3.81cm according to a report.

The series, Dead Famous DNA, traced the artifact to New Jersey, where its presenter Mark Evans interviewed its current owner Evan Lattimer, according to The Independent in the UK.

Lattimer bought the item in a Paris auction for $3,000.

The report states that Napoleon's penis was chopped off by his doctor Francesco Autommarchi, as he performed the autopsy in front of 17 witnesses.

It was then passed to the priest who delivered Napoleon's last rites, Abbé Anges Paul Vignali. The penis remained in the Vignali family until an American rare book dealer called A.S.W. Rosenbach bought it in 1924.

It was then displayed in the Museum of French Art in New York in 1927.

“I’ve seen a lot of penises, from a chihuahua to a sperm whale. This is so withered,” Evans told the paper. “The last place I would have expected to find it is in New Jersey. It’s strange how the withered penis has ventured further around the world than Napoleon ever did.”
