Trio in court for possession of rhino horns

The trio's appearance in court stems from their arrests at a petrol station in Brits west of Pretoria in North by the Tactical Response Team (TRT) and Crime Intelligence on Saturday after a tip-off that one of the suspects‚ a Mozambican national‚ was seen in possession of rhino horns.“According to information‚ the suspects' vehicle‚ a white Mercedes Benz with North West registration number‚ was spotted and stopped around Elandsrand for a search.“During the search‚ four pieces of rhino horns were found inside the boot. The three occupants could not give a clear explanation or account for the horns and were then arrested‚” said North West police spokesperson Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone...
