Vladimir Vermezovic says he is going on a voyage of discovery this week to find out what's wrong with his team.

"We are not the same team we were in the beginning of the season. We've lost our command of possession, we've lost our energy. I'm going to find out what's happened," the Pirates coach said after the Soweto club's three-match winning run in the league was halted by Chippa United in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

"We lacked energy. I don't know what's going on but I am going to find out for sure.

"I have some idea of what's going on and I'll try as soon as possible to fix these problems."

Vermezovic blamed defeat at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on poor decisions at key moments.

"Again we made a silly mistake as we allowed them to run more than 80m with the ball, but in the end it was an excellent goal from David Zulu."

Zulu took advantage of Thabo Matlaba being out of position to weave his way down the right wing and then cut inside to score the winner as early as the seventh minute. He skipped past several defenders and squeezed the ball past goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.

"We weren't as aggressive as we should have been, and at the end of the game they could have scored," said the coach.
