Albie Morkel challenged Scott Styris to wear these awful South African golf trousers if the Proteas manage their first win in a World Cup semi-final against his home country, New Zealand.

Styris and Morkel's friendly banter was initiated earlier this week when the former Black Cap thanked a business executive for giving him a loud pair of golf trousers in the colours of the South African flag.

Morkel responded: "If we win you have to wear those South Africa pants @dannicholl gave you to your next commentary stint @scottbstyris".

Stryris picked up the challenge, saying: "Deal! We win?".

With the match under way but rain interrupted this morning, he cheekily tweeted: "I wonder if SA will read their Duckworth Lewis sheet correctly this time? #hopenot".

After batting first, South Africa left New Zealand needing 298 for victory in just 43 overs, due to the rain interruption.
