Team SA lagging on medals per capita table

South Africa currently sit in 34th on the Olympic medals table after Sunette Viljoen and Henri Schoeman bagged silver and bronze respectively on Thursday in Rio‚ but are lagging in the medals per capita table where they rank 56th. Viljoen won silver in the women’s javelin with a throw of 64.92m‚ just 26cm behind gold medal-winner Sara Kolak from Croatia.
