The Soweto derby is always a keenly anticipated event, as fans cram into pubs, taverns and shebeens to watch the Amakosi take on the Happy People.

Pirates are currently fifth on the premiership log, two points ahead of Chiefs, who are in seventh position.

The match at the Orlando Stadium is sold out and Kaizer Chiefs Football Club has warned fans to beware of vendors selling fake tickets.

There have also been concerns about the state of the pitch, which could be further exposed due to heavy overnight rain in Gauteng.

Meanwhile, the Blue Bulls host the Free State Cheetahs at Fortress Loftus in the Currie Cup. While the Bulls will start as favourites due to their string of Springbok stars and their passionate home-ground supporters, the Cheetahs are a talented, gutsy team who know how to win as underdogs.

The final will be Bryan Habana's last game for the Bulls (he's signed with Western Province), so look out for some scorching runs and possibly even an intercept try from the world-class winger.

While not being superstituous , my head tells me Bulls by far , Having said that though , good fortune has been said to come in three's .
1) Jansen ,
2) OFS cricket last night ...
could an upset at Loftus be thinkable ... time will tell .
