The British driver has decided to end a nine-year association with Brawn, with whom he won his first driver's title this year.

Button's move to McLaren fills a gap created by former world champion Kimi Raikkonen's decision not to race in Formula One next year and gives the team an exciting - but potentially fraught - combination of two of the hottest properties in motor sport.

Hamilton won the 2008 driver's title and McLaren are expected to have one of the fastest cars on the grid next season after finishing this year strongly.

Brawn, in contrast, faded towards the end of the season after dominating the early races in which McLaren and Ferrari struggled.

Brawn will be renamed Mercedes GP for the 2010 season following the German car giant's acquisition of a 75 percent stake in the British-based team.

German Nico Rosberg has already been signed as one of their drivers and, following Button's departure, another German, Nick Heidfeld, is the favourite for the second seat.

THe two lamest drivers on the circuit BELONG with McLaren.

Only reason Hamilton won a World Championship is through DEFAULT.
Button had a good car, and it was NOT the driver... he was just lucky.

Ferrari will be back next season, with the Best driver available... Alonso!

Massa is not bad either. Ferrari probably have the best two drivers.

It's going to become a nationalist sport - two Britons (Hamilton and Button) in a British car (McLaren), and two Germans (Rosberg and Heidfeld) in a German car (Mercedes)

Hamilton will take the championship again next year. HE is the best driver after Schumi.

Alonso won 2 in a row by default and trickery. Remember the stolen technology?

Alonso is a middle of the roader with a big whining mouth.

Button will go back to where he belongs - in the middle of the field.

Alonso BEAT schummie both times he won the World Championship!!!

Never forget that!

The times Alonso won the championship he was driving for Renault.... not Mc Laren... a team better known for it's thieving ways!

Hamilton will NEVER be a world champ again... won it by default...
