Proteas wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock injured his ankle in a warmup session before the start of day three of the first Test against the West Indies in Centurion on Friday.

AB de Villiers took over the wicketkeeping duties as South Africa came on to bowl to the West Indies in their first innings.

After South Africa declared at 552 for five just before tea, the covers came on and no further play was possible on Thursday.

Team management said De Kock would not go for any scans, while he received treatment off the field.
