Motorcycling’s MotoGP engines will roar into life again next week and Malaysian fans of the sport will get an early taste of the action as the first official test of the season takes place at the Sepang Circuit.

Organisers said on Friday they would open the circuit’s main grandstand and allow fans in for free to watch the likes of Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa.

Riders will spend two of their three test sessions at Sepang from Feb 1-3 and Feb 22-24. The last session will be held at Qatar’s Losail Circuit in March, shortly before the Qatar Grand Prix kicks off the 18-round world championships.
