Geoff Embling, by e-mail: Please, Springboks, you are the best team in the world, but you lose matches because you don't keep possession.

We somehow won the Rugby World Cup by using the ridiculous tactic of kicking away possession and keeping our opposition in their half, while putting pressure on them and capitalising on their mistakes.

It worked then and well done, but we won't beat New Zealand or Australia by doing it again.

They are wise to this tactic and they plan to keep possession at any cost. We saw this in the Eden Park Test and by taking quick throw-ins, New Zealand minimised the probability of losing the ball in the lineout. They then kept possession, wearing us out by making us tackle all the time.

They used their brains and we are only using brawn. If you find it so hard not to give possession away, stick to what you were taught in junior school and kick only when you are in your 22.

Run the ball at all other times and take as many drop-goal attempts as possible.

I could almost see the All Blacks laughing at us as we gave them the ball. Please don't let that happen again. - Geoff Embling, by e-mail
