Haedo wins stage 16 of Vuelta, Cobo leads

Argentina’s Juan Jose Haedo won stage 16 of the Tour of Spain on Tuesday in a bunch sprint as Spaniard Juan Jose Cobo retained the overall lead.
Italy’s Alessandro Pettachi finished second on the flat stage from La Olmeda to Haro, with Daniele Bennati, also of Italy, in third.
After taking the lead on Sunday’s summit finish in the Angliru, Cobo remained in control of the overall classification.
The Tour of Spain finishes in Madrid on Sept. 11.
