Josie Harris is asking for over R240 million ($20 million) in damages after the fighter said in an interview last month that she was on drugs and he was just trying to hold her back during the altercation, TMZ reported Tuesday.

In her lawsuit, Harris says the welterweight fighter (welterweight is considered from 63.5 kg), came into the home as she slept on a couch and began punching and kicking her in front of their children.

In the interview below, Mayweather told Yahoo's Couric: "Did I kick, stomp, and beat someone? No, that didn't happen. ... Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did. So if they say that's domestic violence, then, you know what? I'm guilty. I'm guilty of restraining someone."

Floyd, whose total net-worth is reportedly around  $600 million, was convicted of domestic violence and spent two months in jail.
