Os du Randt was fired as Springbok scrum consultant because of a night of drinking during the end of year tour last year also invovling backline coach Dick Muir, kicking coach Percy Montgomery and Lions flyhalf Elton Jantjies, Rapport newspaper reports.
The men allegedly returned to their hotel late after going out drinking the night before the match against Wales. Hotel staff refused to let Durandt into the hotel and Bok management had to be awakened to confirm this.
Muir, Montgomery and Jantjies were warned for their behaviour but Du Randt, who has a monthly contract with the Springboks, was let go this week.
