The Stormers camp were left reeling from the news that flank Siya Kolisi was mugged and as a result will miss the Super 15 semifinal against the Crusaders at Newlands.

The under-20 star was called back early from the Junior World Championships to join the Stormers squad after No 8, Duane Vermeulen, was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament with a knee injury.

Kolisi was scheduled to make his Stormers debut from the bench against the Kiwis with Nick Koster starting in place of Vermeulen.

"He sustained concussion and a shoulder and wrist injury and is in no physical or mental condition to play this weekend," Stormers coach Allister Coetzee said.

The Stormers management would not reveal where the incident took place and were unable to give further details.
