Maak die Cheetahs almal Bulle! (Make all the Cheetahs Bulls!)

Afrikaans singer Steve Hofmeyr penned a song "Maak die Bulle almal Bokke" (Make all the Bulls Boks) at a time when the Pretoria side was dominating the green and gold. Now it seems the Bulls have ransacked the Bloemfontein side, with all their newest signings coming from the Free State.

Yesterday, the Bulls confirmed their list of four new acquisitions for next year's Super 15. Adriaan Strauss, prop Trevor Nyakane, loose-forward Lappies Labuschagne and speedy Jamba Ulengo - all from the Cheetahs - have changed their white and orange stripes for the blue of Loftus.

Bulls coach Frans Ludeke said: "We believe all of these guys will contribute significantly to our effort and vision to be a team of excellence."

Ulengo, who has been a Springbok Sevens player for the past two years, has signed with the Bulls until October 2016.

The 24-year-old is already training at Loftus in preparation for the Currie Cup.

Strauss, Nyakane and Labuschagne will join the side only from November 1 ahead of next year's Super 15 campaign.

Pretoria-born 25-year-old Labuschagne also signed until October 2016, while Nyakane has opted for an agreement that runs until the end of 2017.

Strauss, who made his Super rugby debut with the Bulls in 2006, has signed a two-year deal.

Strauss's arrival will be timely as the Bulls will be losing talented Bongi Mbonambi to the Stormers ahead of the Super 15 season. The former Cheetahs captain is to leapfrog Callie Visagie and Bandise Maku for the No2 jersey next year.
