Golden Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has opted for consistency, making one change to his starting XV for Friday's Currie Cup clash against the Pumas in Johannesburg on Friday.

Lock Martin Muller has been given a starting berth in place of the injured MB Lusaseni.

On the bench, loose forward Derick Minnie will return from injury to provide cover, while hooker Malcolm Marx needs to pass a fitness test to be included as a replacement.

Golden Lions team: Andries Coetzee, Ruan Combrinck, Lionel Mapoe (captain), Stokkies Hanekom, Courtnall Skosan, Jaco van der Walt, Ricky Schroeder, Willie Britz, Kwagga Smith, Jaco Kriel, Franco Mostert, Martin Muller, Ruan Dreyer, Armand van der Merwe, Schalk van der Merwe.

Replacements: Malcolm Marx/ Willie Wepener, Jacques van Rooyen, Julian Redelinghuys, Derick Minnie, Warwick Tecklenburg, Mark Richards, Howard Mnisi.
