Le Roux could be closest thing Sharks have had to Andre Joubert

With the snaring of Springbok live-wire fullback Willie le Roux, the Sharks have reverted to their old habit of plundering the Cheetahs' thin resources. Le Roux has been a sporadic figure in the Cheetahs' Super rugby campaign due to a mandatory Springbok rest and a niggling ankle injury. He has recovered sufficiently from his injury to be available for the Cheetahs in probably one of their final two Super rugby fixtures: against the Waratahs in Bloemfontein, and the Bulls in Pretoria.Le Roux signed a two-year contract extension two years ago after approaches from the Sharks and the Stormers were rebuffed, but he seems to have given in to the lure of big city rugby with a major but underperforming franchise.Le Roux is the third recent high-profile signing for the struggling coastal franchise after swooping on Joe Pietersen from the Cheetahs and Jacques Potgieter from the Waratahs. The Sharks have shuffled off pivot Fred Zeilinga to the Cheetahs while they have resigned themselves to losing Willem Alberts and the Du Plessis brothers Jannie and Bismarck to overseas clubs."I can't make an announcement as Willie and I will only be available for comment later," said Eduard Kelder, Le Roux's agent.A Sharks back three of Le Roux, Lwazi Mvovo and Sibusiso Sithole will be a mighty proposition. Le Roux could be the closest thing the Sharks have had to André Joubert...
