Former Springbok fullback Gio Aplon proved he is still one of the best in his trade with a dazzling performance for his French club Grenoble over the weekend.

In this video posted by Grenoble on their Facebook page on Monday, the 33-year-old, who played 17 Tests for the Springboks under Peter de Villiers between 2010 and 2012, received the ball inside his own half and cut through defenders like a hot knife through butter on his way to a stupendous solo try.

Grenoble lost 53-14 to a visiting Toulouse side in the Top 14. If Aplon continues to put in such impressive performances consistently, he may well grab the attention of new Bok coach Allister Coetzee.
