Jomo Cosmos player dies in car crash
The South African Football Players Unions announced in a statment 28-year-old Godfrey Mahlangu, defender for Jomo Cosmos, has died in car crash.
The crash is reported to have happened on Sunday morning.
Details about the crash are unclear at this point.
According to Sowetan LIVE, Mahlangu died after his car overturned. His girlfriend, who was also in the car, is in a critical condition in hospital.
Mahlangu's death comes shortly after former Mamelodi Sundowns and Platinum Stars player Oscar Ntwagae died after being hit by a car in Germiston.
