Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas says he has a lot to learn and still feels he gets “in the way” a little when playing with his  new team-mates.

Fabregas, who moved from Arsenal in a 29 million euro ($41m) deal last month, has had a dream start with Barca, scoring in their  Super Cup victory over Porto in Monaco and their 5-0 win against Villarreal in the league.

“I have the feeling that that there is still a lot for me to learn,” the 24-year-old said in an interview with El Pais published  on Monday.

“People remember the goals but I see other things, especially in  defence.

“I have never seen a team so concentrated on the attack-defence transition. Playing against Barca is very complicated but playing in Barca is not so easy either.

“Honestly, I have the feeling that I still get in the way a bit but they are so good that they fix it and hide it.

“I try to interpret their passes, and to take advantage in attack. I have to adapt myself to them. In defence I have a lot to learn.”    Fabregas said he had Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to thank for his footballing success.

“Without him I would not be anything,” he said.

On his last day at Arsenal, Fabregas said he was too emotional to be able to speak to Wenger to say goodbye.

“It was hard for me to talk. I got emotional and could not say anything. I called him afterwards when I was calmer and thanked him.

“He is a 10, with his defects and his qualities, but what that man has given me is priceless.”
