The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will announce the venue and kick-off time for the final of the MTN8 later this week, communications officer Luxolo September said.

“The venue has not yet been decided. The cup committee of the League will meet this week and after some deliberation, we will announce a decision sometime this week," September said.

Kaizer Chiefs set-up a Soweto Derby meeting with Orlando Pirates in the September 20 final, courtesy of a 3-0 (5-0 aggregate) victory over Platinum Stars in their second-leg semi-final at FNB Stadium on Sunday.

Chiefs ensured a second derby meeting early in the season, following the Carling Black Label Cup before the start of the 2014/15 campaign, while at least two more derbies await when the fierce rivals clash in the league, home and away.

Pirates booked their spot in the final thanks to a 3-1 (5-1 aggregate) victory over Wits in Soweto on Saturday evening, securing a second successive appearance for the Buccaneers, who lost out to Stars a year ago.

The Sea Robbers, meanwhile, were drawn as the home team at whichever venue is selected to host the clash.

As such, Pirates would enjoy several minor advantages but ultimately would not benefit greatly with the match being played at a neutral venue.

The last time Chiefs and Pirates met in the top-eight cup final was in 2011 where Oupa Manyisa scored in extra-time to guide Pirates to victory, after the game had ended goalless after 90 minutes.
