Negotiations between Orlando Pirates’chairman Irvin Khoza and Mamelodi Sundowns’president Patrice Motsepe are at advanced stages for the transfer of Bucs’ captain Oupa Manyisa to the Brazilians.

This has been confirmed by his agent Thabo Moloto, who told SABC News Online that the Bafana Bafana ace midfielder will join the cash-rich Sundows during the current transfer window at an undisclosed fee.

"Currently the status is that the two presidents have met. And they are still negotiating the transfer fee. However, as things stands Manyisa will join Mamelodi Sundowns before the transfer window closes," said Moloto.

Manyisa joined Orlando Pirates in 2008 after successfully coming through the development ranks at the club.

“Look he is ok. He is happy because of what he has achieved at Orlando Pirates and it's not like is leaving Pirates without achieving nothing. He won back to back trebles under the tutelage of Rudolf 'Ruud' Krol and reached four finals. He's very excited to be joining Mamelodi Sundowns,” adds Moloto.
