Orlando Pirates star winger Thabo Qalinge has been asked to pay back the money in a skorokoro battle.

The Daily Sun reported that Nomadlozi Shabangu, from Soshanguve, north of Tshwane, said her life has been a living hell for the past few months since she paid R45 000 into Qalinge’s personal account for a VW Polo.

The car was reportedly involved in a car accident but Qalinge never mentioned these problems when he sold her the car, claimed Nomadlozi.

Nomadlozi reportedly took the car to a qualified mechanic and the mechanic was surprised to find out that there was no radiator rattle.

Nomadlozi said: "This car is a real skorokoro. All I want is my money back. I’m unhappy with the condition of the car."

When contacted for comment, Qalinge said: “Can you please call me later? I’m still at a training session. I’ll comment on your story later.”

But Thabo was not available for comment at the time of going to print.
