Royal Eagles coach Thami Ngubani has warned Mark Mayambela that he must fight for his position if he wants to break into the starting line up for the National First Division outfit.

The dribbling wizard is yet to play this season following his arrival from Sweedish side Djurgardens IF in January and Ngubane warned the former Orlando Pirates star that he needs to up his game in training in order to command a place in his team.

"He has to fight for his own position; in terms of him training, he is training with the team now and waiting for his chance," Ngubani tells KickOff.

"Remember, he came to a team that was starting to play better and results were coming, so he must fight for his position."

"The fact that we signed him, it's because we believe he will add value at the club and from what we see at training, we believe his contribution will help us a lot."
