Orlando Pirates have allowed striker Kermit Erasmus to open talks with Egyptian giants Zamalek over a possible transfer and are reportedly willing to accept an offer in the region of R20 million for the player’s services, according to a report.

This was revealed by KickOff sources, after reports of Zamalek interest reportedly surfaced in Egyptian media earlier on Tuesday.

According to the report, Pirates have agreed to let the 25-year-old to negotiate personal terms before anything is made official.

“These are obviously unofficial amounts, but I believe the transfer fee Pirates could be getting is in the region of about R20-million,” says the KickOff source.

“Also, they’ve already engaged with Erasmus’ representatives, and the offer to the player stands in the region of $30 000 [R350 000] per month.”

Erasmus was last season’s leading goal scorer in all competitions with 16 goals.
