Angel di Maria to have PSG medical ahead of R875 million move

Argentine winger Angel di Maria arrived in Doha, Qatar, on Sunday to finalise his purported R875 million move from Manchester United to Paris Saint-Germain and undergo a medical, according to a report.

The former Real Madrid star flew from Argentina via Sao Paulo to Doha, where he posed for photos at the airport, MailSport reported on Monday.

The report said that the winger will undergo a medical at the Aspire centre on Monday morning before taking a connection to Paris to complete the formalities of his move.

According to the report, Di Maria, who did not join United’s pre-season tour of the United States after appearing at the Copa America in Chile, has agreed a four-year contract worth about £170,000 a week after tax.

The 27-year-old player moved to Old Trafford last August for a British-record £59.7m (see video below) after helping the Spanish giants to a 10th European Cup in 2014.
