'I tell you, anything I experienced in South Africa is nothing like this … that was like Sunday school in comparison.'

That is how 62-year-old Stuart Baxter described his firing from Turkish club Genclerbirligi, after losing his opening two matches.

The former Kaizer Chief’s boss lost his opening match 3-2 at home to Rizesport despite leading 2-1 with a minute to go.

Despite leading [against Antalyaspor] with 15 minutes to go, Genclerbirligi ended up losing 3-1.

After the second defeat, Baxter explained to KickOff how the 80-year-old chairman went nuts at him.

“The chairman calls me in and rants at me, even going on about my family. Then he stops ranting and simply says; ‘Okay, you can pack your things and go,’ Baxter tells the website.

“I’ve never met anything like him. He couldn’t even remember my name,” Baxter says.

“He’s bonkers … off the wall. He had me in meetings every day.

“I tell you, anything I experienced in South Africa is nothing like this …”
