Bafana Bafana have jumped three places to 70th in the lastest FIFA rankings, released on Thursday.

This is despite South Africa not playing since November's FIFA World Cup qualifier against Angola in Durban, which they won 1-0 thanks to a Manucho Diniz own goal.

The Top 10 remains unchanged, which means Belgium remain top of the rankings ahead of Argentina, Spain, Germany, and Chile.

The March edition of the rankings was marked by few changes in the top 50, with most teams yet to play in 2016.

Only 14 'A' matches were taken into account for March, all of which were international friendlies and the total number of games played in 2016 currently stands at 58, according to a statement on FIFA's website.

The next rankings will be published on 7 April 2016.
