PSL newcomers Cape Town City announce signing of Austrian player

Austrian player Roland Putsche is the latest player to join newcomers Cape Town City.The club confirmed the player's arrival on Wednesday and also said more signings would be made in the coming days.The 25-year-old Putsche hails from Austrian top-flight club Wolfsberger AC and is the second Austrian to feature in South African football since Walter Rautmann‚ who played at Highlands Park before becoming a much travelled coach.The midfielder has a career total of 124 games with six goals. Coach Eric Tinkler said on Wednesday it has been a hectic time trying to put a squad together for the newly formed Cape Town City.But the mentor added that he expects to have some additional playing staff by the end of the week.“We will be releasing more names later this week‚” the coach said as he continues to try and create a new team with what remains of the old Mpumalanga Black Aces‚ who sold their franchise to soccer boss John Comitis‚ and new faces signed up since the new club was announced. Last week the club named Shaquille Abrahams (FC Cape Town)‚ Duncan Adonis (Ramblers)‚ Never Ngcuka (Cape United)‚ Ebrahim Seedat (Milano United) and Matt Sim (Western Sydney Wanderers‚ Australia) as their first signings.Cape Town City will be having a first scrimmage this weekend as well against amateur opposition.
