Luvolwethu Mpeta joins Platinum Stars on a loan deal

Platinum Stars have officially confirmed the re-signing of Luvolwethu Mpeta on loan from SuperSport United‚ as well as the arrival for a second season of striker Bongi Ntuli. Mpeta will add to the left-back options of coach Cavin Johnson having been deemed surplus to requirements by Stuart Baxter at Matsatsantsa.The 26-year-old left Stars for SuperSport in January 2015‚ having 18 months earlier been part of the side that lifted the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout trophies.He started only half of SuperSport’s matches last season though and after the club brought in Keagan Ritchie and Onismor Bhasera‚ has been allowed to leave on loan.Stars also confirmed on Wednesday that Ntuli would be returning for a second loan season.The 25-year-old forward spent the last campaign in the North West province‚ scoring six goals in 16 starts.Stars started their season with a 1-0 league win over SuperSport‚ but were well beaten 2-0 by Chippa United in the quarterfinals of the MTN8 last Saturday...
