New Polokwane City coach Luc Eymael has been mandated to win a first-ever top eight place for the club but says he cannot be considered “a magician”.“The chairman (Johnny Mogaladi) wants to be in the top eight at the end of the season but I don’t think it will be all that easy.“I always believe that hard work can get you anywhere but we didn’t sign any new players unfortunately."The ones I found when I got to the club are the ones I am working with. So it will be tough‚” said Eymael after his club picked up only their second point of the season in a 1-1 away draw with Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday.“Polokwane have never been in the top eight before. I think between 11 and 13th place only."When you ask me to try and get to the top eight I can only try but I’m not a magician.”Desperate Polokwane City coach pleads with club owner to sign new playersNew Polokwane City coach Luc Eymael has urged club boss Johnny Mogaladi to make additions to the squad in the remaining days of the transfer window. The Belgian coach‚ who celebrated his 57th birthday on Tuesday‚ made it clear he was struggling to get his strikers to fire despite having some of the top attackers in the country‚ like Puleng Tlolane and Thobani Mncwango.“We’ve created a lot of chances in our first three games but it looks like the players want to walk the ball into the net."We have been well organised‚ we proved that against Wits when we played for the whole half while down to 10 men“I think there is an improvement in the team but you have to score if you create so many chances. We are working on our finishing.”Wits held to goalless draw by 10-man Polokwane CityBidvest Wits were held to a 0-0 draw by 10-man Polokwane City in Tuesday night’s Premier Soccer League match at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Polokwane have now made two trips to the Mother City with a 2-0 loss to Cape Town City in their opening league game‚ and the point earned against Ajax. They also drew 0-0 with Wits and will be hoping that Saturday’s home match against Highlands Park offers them the chance of a maiden victory of the season. - TMG Digital..
