Ajax Cape Town admit they're not looking forward to facing resurgent Kaizer Chiefs

Ajax Cape Town would have preferred to play Kaizer Chiefs while AmaKhosi were in the midst of the slump they had in the beginning of the season. But Chiefs have posted three successive wins in their last three games and coach Roger de Sa says this is the wrong time to be taking on AmaKhosi as he looked ahead to Saturday’s meeting between the two sides at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.“They have found form with those three wins on the trot."I always knew they would turn things around with the quality that they have‚” he told a press conference in Cape Town on Tuesday.“I kind of wish we could have played them earlier but I suppose we have to do it. Going to Durban means at least we can take the game as neutral."It is nice for us to keep it coastal. But in saying neutral we do realise Chiefs will probably get more support than they do at Soccer City."Their last game there (Soccer City) had a poor crowd but I’m sure there will be plenty fans in Durban. For us that means a nice atmosphere at a good stadium with a nice pitch.” Chiefs are switching three Premier Soccer League games to Durban this season in the same way they hosted three ‘home’ matches at the Cape Town Stadium in the last campaign.Ajax have yet to post a victory this season with two draws and two defeats in four games played.“I thought we did well against Orlando Pirates‚ the result wasn’t great but we played well."Chiefs also won’t be a hard game to motivate the guys for.”De Sa claimed memories of Ajax’s win over Chiefs at Port Elizabeth in last year’s MTN8 final were “still fresh in the back of the minds of the players”.Ajax won that game 1-0 but have had no success since.- TMG Digital..
