Ajax Cape Town have revealed that the club has parted ways with winger Sameehg Doutie just a few weeks after his return to Ikamva last month.

The club’s former academy product could not crack the first team under coach Stanley Menzo‚ making just two substitutes' appearances totalling 29 minutes.

“Ajax Cape Town Football Club and Sameehg Doutie have today‚ Friday 24 February‚ officially agreed to amicably part ways‚” the club said in a statement.

“Ajax Cape Town would like to wish Mr Doutie all of the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his service to the Urban Warriors.”

The 27-year-old had returned to the club where he made his name before leaving for disappointing spells at Orlando Prates‚ SuperSport United and BidVest Wits.

He has most recently been playing in the Indian Super League at Atletico de Kolkata where he enjoyed trophy success‚ but that season only runs from August to December.
