Kuznetsova parts way with coach
Two-time Grand Slam winner Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia has parted ways with her French coach Loic Courteau only two months after they started to work together.
L’Equipe newspaper reported on Wednesday that Kuznetsova, a former No. 2 who has dropped to 20th in the WTA rankings, ended her partnership with Courteau after he refused to travel to Moscow to work with her during the offseason.
Kuznetsova won the US Open in 2004 and the French Open last year.
Courteau previously coached the retired Amelie Mauresmo, Kuznetsova’s former doubles partner.
