Parents of teenagers who have just passed their K53 driving test, can sleep easy knowing that there are advanced driving courses, like Yokohama Driving Dynamics, to teach the more sophisticated skills needed to handle the modern car safely.

Yokohama Driving Dynamics is headed up by multiple motor sport champion, Grant McCleery.

"Teenagers in particular need more than the skills needed to pass your car driving licence," he said.

"You need to know what to do when the unexpected happens, like avoiding collisions, regaining control of your vehicle, recovering from aquaplaning, or even just braking properly in an emergency. These skills are not the exclusive domain of a racing driver. They are happening every day on our busy roads."

Yokohama Driving Dynamics is based at the Gerotek vehicle testing facility near Pretoria. It also offers its courses at a variety of venues countrywide.
