Chic DIY: Quirky soap dish

Conventional? No. Clever and convenient? Yes. Whether you need a soap dish or a jewellery stand, repurposing mannequin pieces is a handy option

YOU WILL NEED:

• A mannequin hand (we found ours at a second-hand store)
• A drill
• Gold spray paint
• 30mmx15mm L-bracket
• 3 small 6mm screws

WHAT TO DO:

1. Use a drill to attach the L–bracket to the base of the mannequin hand with a screw.

2. Spray-paint the hand gold and allow it to dry for at least two hours.

3. Secure the free part of the L-bracket to the wall, using a drill and the remaining two screws.
