Michelle Heslop studied the performing arts, before joining MadWorld, a creative group of companies, where she worked her way up to director, and currently curator of The Bromwell, a boutique mall in Cape Town

The Bromwellis a one-of-a-kind, upmarket lifestyle destination, where fashion, art, decor and exceptional cuisine awaken the senses.

My involvement in The Bromwell is building relationships with new designers and artists, sourcing and procuring exclusive stock, as well as the marketing and promotion of The Bromwell brand.

The designers I approach are passionate, hard-working, creative and incredibly talented.

I am passionate about life. I feel blessed to wake up fit and healthy every morning.

I have a great appreciation for a variety of aesthetic interpretations, but I am always looking for the out-of-the-ordinary, the different, the slightly rebellious. Although beauty is a non-negotiable.

The word “trend” guides, but does not limit, and is always indicative of something short-lived, for better or worse.

My home is peaceful.

My favourite tech gadget in the home is my Wi-Fi range extenders, so I can put my feet up but still be connected and in touch.

My favourite holiday destination is Christmas in New York.

I love to “chill-out” at spas and restaurants at top hotels in and around Cape Town.

Every home needs laughter.

In the next 10 years I see myself travelling constantly to check in on all The Bromwell branches that have established themselves in every major fashion capital around the world.
