We look back at some of our favourite celebrity fashion collaborations of the year

1. MAPS X SPREE

Although this isn't actor and model Maps Maponyane's first foray into fashion, the collection he's created in collaboration with Spree is certainly more accessible than his range of upmarket suits by retailer Augustine.

The Augustine range was called OCD; an ode to Maponyane’s obsessive and meticulous nature. From sketching designs to selecting materials, Maponyane claims he oversaw everything that went into his suit collection – and he did the same with his new Spree collection, this time focusing on versatility and practicality.

With blue as the base colour palette, the range features pleated casual trousers and shorts, light-weight bomber jackets, basic accessories and an updated take on a white shirt which Maponyane called “the mass ego shirt.”

“Each piece is a wardrobe staple with a twist that every man’s Summer wardrobe should have,” said Maponyane in a statement.

2. POPPY NTSHONGWANA X SUPERGA

This is the second time that the 5FM DJ's teamed up with cool Italian sneaker brand Superga.

“The Spring/Summer 2015/16 collection differs significantly from the previous one. Not only did I get to actually design each and every shoe, the range is also a lot more mature (and has more of a unisex feel),” said Ntshongwana in a statement.

Ntshongwana's personal style can be quite daring and edgy and this is reflected in the six styles in her latest line. Think glittery gold slip-on platforms, pastel pink satin lace-ups and sneakers in an eye-catching pink and turquoise print.

3. BOITY THULO X LEGIT

As she's known to be a fitness fanatic, it makes sense that Legit picked actress Boity Thulo to be their brand ambassador when they launched their new active wear range earlier this year.

Now it seems it's time to show off that gym-toned bod. Boity and brand's latest collection, The Nightlife Range, includes a selection of sexy heels, glam dresses, crop tops, skirts and other key pieces you'll need to make a splash during the party season.
