I got into the hospitality industry by chance as I embarked on a BCom in economics but hated it and took to waitressing to kill time and ended up loving it. Almost six years later I am where I'm supposed to be.I would love to open my own wine bar in the next few years and incorporate African cuisine. It would be food and wine pairing at its best.I would never finish if I have to give you a list of wines I love. I love tannic wines, the bolder the better. Creation is one of my favourite wines.story_article_left1My most memorable success while working at the hotel was achieving training through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust in London.The most expensive bottle of wine I've sold is the Sadie Family Columella. It's a Bordeaux-style wine that sells for R1,600 a bottle.I love wines and always keep a few bottles at home. There's nothing better than a good pinotage over a good meal with friends.My friends all love my lamb stew with a dash of shiraz.Cape Legends Inter Hotel Challenge has been the most emotional ride ever. Being selected to showcase my skill and represent my hotel has been an honour. I see so much potential in South Africa in terms of the service industry.
