In an explosive affidavit, Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan has blown the lid on how R6.8-billion worth of suspicious transactions may have led to South Africa’s top-four banks closing accounts associated with the Gupta family.

Gordhan wants the courts to declare that the  cabinet has no legal power to intervene in the Gupta family’s impasse with the banks.
