Leo, the roving baggage butler, is letting passengers check in their own luggage at Geneva Airport in Switzerland

A little machine named Leo carried the hopes of the world's harried travellers on its back this week as it tried to make travelling a little less horrible - by smoothing the baggage check-in process at the airport.Leo, the "baggage butler", is being tested by passengers for the first time at the entrance to Geneva Airport.The roaming machine can take people's bags as they arrive, seal them up safely and roll them directly to the baggage-handling area - leaving passengers free to head straight to security.Developed by Sita, a Swiss information-technology company, it can carry up to two suitcases at a time, weighing a maximum of 32kg.For now, though, the only passengers eligible to use Leo are those flying on a Swiss airline, who already have a boarding pass...
