BOUNCER turned construction company owner Jason Domingues-Baya allegedly beat up two people while he was out on bail on an attempted murder charge.

Top detective Piet Byleveld, who is investigating bouncer violence and club drug cases, yesterday told the Randburg Regional Court that Domingues-Baya, 28, and his co-accused, Pretoria bouncer boss Paul Kietzmann, 33, had contravened their bail conditions by visiting nightclubs in Johannesburg.

Domingues-Baya and Kietzmann were to have a trial date set yesterday for allegedly punching, kicking and stamping on Richard Mazaham during a fight at the trendy Fashion TV Bar in Sandton last year.

The attack left Mazaham seriously injured. During the bail application Byleveld said Kietzmann had allegedly ordered a R500000 hit on Mazaham.

Byleveld testified that Domingues allegedly attacked a man at a nightspot in Hartbeespoort Dam in June after attending a kick-boxing tournament.

He said: "The victim was unconscious for three hours after the beating. He needed 14 stitches to his head and was hospitalised."

Domingues-Baya's attorney, Mariki de Villiers, later disputed this, saying a person named Jeremy Smith had admitted to be involved in the brawl.

The sleuth also told the court that Domingues-Baya was also allegedly involved in a punch- up at this year's Durban July horse race while out on bail.

Byleveld said: "Police in Durban confirmed the incident, but the victim fears for his life and has not laid a charge."

The court also heard that the pair were caught on a security camera visiting the ESP nightclub at 7:45am on Women's Day.

Byleveld said Kietzmann was also seen at the premises of the Chocolate Box nightclub.

Kietzmann said he went to the club to fetch his girlfriend, Sarah le Roux, on the night in question. Both Domingues-Baya and Kietzmann have denied Byleveld's testimony.

Kietzmann claimed the detective was fabricating evidence.

He said: "Can someone bring a lie detector in here?"
