There's never a dull day in the life of pop princess Rihanna. Two of her former flames, Drake and Chris Brown, were involved in a nasty brawl at a New York club on Wednesday night, according to celebrity gossip site TMZ.com.

It was reported yesterday that things got physical after Brown - who has been - involved in numerous altercations since his much-publicised split with the We Found Love songstress in 2009 - sent over a bottle of champagne to Drake's table as a "peace offering".

Some reports claim that the bottle was returned by Drake, who had a fling with Rihanna after her break-up with Brown, with a note reading: "I'm f****** the love of your life, deal with it."

Brown, it is alleged, then flew into one of his now customary rages and confronted Drake, who didn't waste much time before throwing a punch in retaliation.

N ot long afterwards another man hit Brown in the face with a bottle, which left a gash on his chin.

According to TMZ, New York police confirmed that the pair's crews had also got into a fight at the WIP nightclub.

Five people were reportedly injured but, by the time of the police's arrival, the two musicians had left.

Just a couple of days earlier there were reports that Rihanna and Brown had partied at the same club for two days in a row and had left the spot minutes apart.

TMZ reported that Brown had spent some time at Rihanna's table and had bought her two bottles of expensive Ace of Spades champagne.

Though Brown is in a relationship with Karrueche Tran, The New York Post reported that he had spent the past weekend with Rihanna's family at Jay-Z's 40/40 club.

They reportedly watched a basketball game between Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics at the club.
