It is tragic that we have workers and union members who cause such damage ("Forest fires pinned on strike", July 6).

Are such actions the unions' way of creating jobs, or will they create more poverty?

I hope the people who destroyed our forests with their idiotic, irresponsible behaviour are caught and made to pay.

They should work in prison until all damages have been paid.
