An Mpumalanga man was fined R80000 for speeding by the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court yesterday, Gauteng traffic police said.
Spokesman Busaphi Nxumalo said Andy McCauley, 48, from Witbank, was driving at an average speed of 212km/h in a 120km/h zone in a brand-new Ferrari on the N14, towards Pretoria. He paid the fine.
McCauley was also given a two-year suspended sentence.
