Wives need to tighten the leash
It may sound overly possessive, but wives around the country will do well to make sure their husbands are home on time next Wednesday - the eve of Women's Day.
This is after a new survey found that 76% of the 1197 South African men interviewed by the Canadian on-line dating site, www.ashleymadison.com, said they had made plans with their mistresses on August 8.
The site's founder, Noel Biderman, told The Times yesterday: "Any time there is a celebration of love, parenting or relationships, we see an incredible spike [in hits on the website] either the day prior or the day after any of these events in large part because they act as a litmus test for so many in their relationships."
He added: "And it does not matter which gender divide you sit on, if that day feels hollow and unfulfilling, you will do something about it."
Biderman and his South African-born wife, Amanda, were in South Africa last month as part of their launch, where she was quoted as saying: "My husband does not lure people into becoming cheaters, they already have that inclination."
