Dangerous games must end: iLIVE

We cannot ignore the possibility of a third force being at play in the violent protests sweeping across the Cape Flats.
However, we need to ask who stands to benefit the most from these violent actions.
The other question we need to ask is which political party stands to suffer most electorally as a result of the frustrations caused by these weekly protests?
Hundreds of thousands of commuters are spending much more time on the road and away from workplaces or education institutions. I am not convinced enough is being done politically to end the violence, or that it is seen to be in everyone's interests that this violence ends prior to the 2014 general elections.
I have not heard the president being called upon to send the army in to deal with these protesters, even though they are affecting the lives of millions, almost on a daily basis. The only bet I am willing to make is that all of us will lose out if these dangerous games do not end soon.
